Ford Escape is a crossover vehicle produced and sold by Ford Motor Company since the year 2000. First model of this vehicle has been manufactured in cooperation with Mazda, which took a piece of this cake by marketing their version of vehicle by the name of Mazda Tribute.
The two vehicles share the same platform (borrowed from Ford CD2). The only exactly the same parts of the two vehicles are the roof and floor pressings. Engines were supplied by Mazda (for base version), although Ford provided a V6 version as an option. There is an entire history of Ford-Mazda cooperation, ever since 1970, starting with the Ford Courier.
Ford Escape is also known as the first SUV to offer a hybrid engine option, released in 2004 only for North American Markets.
2016 Ford Escape is a representative of the third generation vehicles with the Ford Escape architecture. First vehicle of this generation has been revealed at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. Back in that time, Ford offered two versions of the EcoBoost inline four cylinder turbocharged engine.

2016 Ford Escape interior is proportionally big as the vehicle itself. It has place for five persons, and there will be a possibility to install a third row of seats. The cabin is being made of premium materials and there are going to be three trim levels as options: Titanium, S and SE. Seats are made of premium leather with built-in heaters. There is an eight inch screen mounted on the central console enabled with MyFord infotainment system.
2016 Ford Escape Exterior
2016 Ford Escape exterior will be made on the basis of Ford Global C platform. The main dimensions are not going to be changed. The standard for vehicles nowadays is a lighter architecture so we don’t expect this vehicle to be an exception.
Bumpers are made to be massive with slightly different and larger grille. Wheels are going to be made of aluminum with 17, 18 and 19 inch in offer. Headlights and taillights are going to be updated with LED technology which is becoming a standard now.
2016 Ford Escape Price and Release Date
2016 Ford Escape price and release date are partially known. We assume that these versions are not going to be a lot more expensive than their predecessors. According to our assumptions, price is not going to go over 32,000 dollars. So you can expect it to be in a range from 25,000 dollars for a basic trim level to 32,000 dollars for premium.
2016 Ford Escape release date is expected for the end of this year.
