The 2017 Chevrolet Monte Carlo has made its official debut recently. This vehicle is perhaps more popular because of its racing version which is a popular vehicle at NASCAR events, but the base form may gain more popularity by using this version update that the car is going to get for this year.
The car was officially unveiled at the Daytona International Speedway, which was peculiarly the place where the racing version of the vehicle also made its first appearance at the Daytona 500 NASCAR event. It was only symbolic that the car got to see its first officially showcasing at the place where it has started to become popular and since where the car started making a name for itself.
We can say that the Chevy Monte Carlo is the American version of the Holden SS V car. It also uses the same type of a platform that is used to underpin the Camaro or the Impala Police Patrol Vehicle. This is actually a global type of a platform used here which is going to be used for various types of cars in the future.
The new model is going to adopt a rear-wheel drive this time which makes a comeback after a long stint from this model. In fact, as the people from Chevy said it themselves, the name of the company was actually built on RWD vehicles so it is actually amazing that they did not produce one for around 17 years now. The Monte Carlo is the perfect automobile that is going to get the RWD back and will mark a comeback for all the Chevy models.
Price and release date
Although the vehicle has been showcased at the Daytona International Speedway, there has not been an announcement then when the vehicle is going to be available for purchase. The car is being offered as a 2017 and is going to be available by next year certainly but the release date is still unknown. As the car has already been showcased there is a great possibility that the car becomes available till the end of this year and we get an early release. In my opinion, this is something that is highly likely to happen. As for the price is concerned there has also not been any announcement so far and will perhaps be available once some news about the release date become available as well. Till then, no news about the price neither.
2017 Chevrolet Monte Carlo exterior and interior design
The exterior of the 2017 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is not going to be dramatically different. We are still getting a familiar look of the vehicle we have learned to love. The car is a major standout in the field and its segment and looks pretty well. As this is only a minor update there are only going to be some minor changes made. With a few new features that are going to be mostly noticeable when making a distinction between the trim levels, we are getting also some minor modifications and the car is going to have its already familiar look but in a more modern way. Also available this time are an array of new color features that get to be very interesting for buyers and users of the car.
The interior of the 2017 Chevy Monte Carlo is going to have an upscale interior as it always had. This is where a bit more changes have been done as they for the most part concentrated on the looks and comfort of the vehicle and the ride as well. Some high end additions have been made and you can expect a richly designed interior. There is a choice between quite a few interior-orientated packages that are made which are going to make the car even better. The best thing about them is that you can chose one optionally and it will give you a nice optional either way.
Among the gadgets that you get to operate inside the car there is the adaptive-cruise control which also adds forward collision warning and blind-spot monitoring. For your ease there are power adjustable pedals, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, voice-activated navigation and even heated/cooled cup holders. For connectivity there are the Bluetooth interface with smart-phone connectivity which comes with hands-free text messaging. For safety there is the ear backup camera and many other features that keep you safe while driving.
The 2017 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is going to be available in a few trims designs. You can get it in coupe, Sports and SS trim. You can also optionally order a AWD version is you do not want to go with the rear-wheel drive option instead that comes as a base one. The coupe and Sport models come equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine which is quite an appropriate offer when you come to think about it. But if you want a faster option you can choose the Monte Carlo SS trim which uses a 6.4-liter V8 engine and makes 370-hp. The rear wheel drive is standard for all version while the AWD is available for Coupe and SS trims only.
