For two years we should expect the redesigned Subaru WRX to come chock full of latest features and technologies including but not limited to lots of premium safety equipment, strong acceleration, standard AWD system, improved traction, and excellent steering and handling. Its release date should be expected sometime later this year.

Some of the fresh features to expect from the WRX include a new special STI edition called the Series Hyper Blue, an upgraded touchscreen interface, and driver assistance packages. The vehicle, just like the previous 2015 model, still comes with similar heaps of power and upscale performance all available at a very pocket friendly price.

The vehicle’s performance is unmatched in its segment, with its acceleration from 0-60 mph even for the standard model being under the six second mark. It is also very fun even at times when the road gets a bit twisty thanks to the available standard all-wheel-drive system, nimble handling, and precise steering. Opting for the new Subaru WRX STI simply ups the ante.

On the flipside, though, the interior appointments aren’t that upscale as you’d expect, and the cabin fails to insulate its occupants from a significant amount of road noise and wind at high speeds. For those who might be turned away from the WRX due to the above downsides, there are several alternatives waiting to be exploited including Minin Cooper JCW, Focus ST, and the VW Golf GTI.

Exterior Changes & Interior Accessories – 2017 Subaru WRX

The five seat sedan configuration is available for both the regular 2017 Subaru WRX and the high-performance STI version. The latter comes in only two trims: base and Limited version, while the WRX comes in three trims: base, Premium, and the plush Limited.
