The 2015 Mazda 3 is described by many as being one of the best in its class. Maybe not as flashy as other cars in its class but certainly as one of the vehicles which offer fun and versatility while driving it. The Mazda 3 has exceeded the expectations of its predecessors and has become one of the most likable and most sought for car in the class.
But as of recently, there have been some changes announced that the Mazda 3 is going to succumb. The changes initially refer to the engine and the gearbox. The long awaited six-speed manual transmission system is finally going to make a crossover and join the Mazda 3 rank. The car is going to be much lighter now and will offer better maneuverability and an even better driving experience as before.
The pictures of the Mazda 3 do not lie as we are able to see a very modern car with now a better engine build up and great under the hood specs. The changes for the new Mazda 3 will certainly make the car far better and surround it with even more hype than before.
2015 Mazda 3 Exterior
The exterior design of the Mazda 3 can only be described as being extraordinary. The stellar design of the car features a long hood with a cab-back design. It is truly unique among all the other compact cars within its class and offers a fabulous design which appeals to many. It does not have to be as long as the other vehicles in its class and give almost perfect proportion for the type of car it is.
The Mazda 3 has gone through an extensive change when it comes to exterior design with its predecessors. The makers are actually calling it the “soul of the motion” design, which featured the front part or actually the grille losing the previous grille that was matted and exchanged for a blunt nose with a five point grille which is connected to some slanted and swept back headlamps.
The interior of the 2015 Mazda 3 is very roomy and comfortable for you to ride in. The front seat parts are very spacious and provide great support for your back. The comfort has been enhanced so as the driver can fair well and won’t lose any momentum during the drive. More lateral support is something that the makes have concentrated on mainly and have done this in a great manner to our opinion.
The back seats, on the other hand, are placed a bit higher. Although the same materials are used as for the front and the new design actually enables two inches more space than before, taller passengers might have problems as their necks will perhaps slab at the back a bit. Despite looking a bit crap when you view it at first, the Mazda 3 is actually roomier and more comfortable than before and offers a great ride.
Engine of 2015 Mazda 3
This is where the initial changes have happened for the 2015 Mazda 3 vehicle. Under the hood we will be able to experience the change which means finally including the Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine as the main engine for the Mazda 3 vehicle. Paired with the engine is the new six-speed manual transmission, which has been placed instead of the old six-speed automatic one. Actually these changes, the manual transmission and a bigger engine, were actually announced way back when the car was actually released, and fans have been waiting eagerly to see them actually put in effect.
According to the specs, the changes within the new 2015 Mazda 3 include a 40 pound lighter hatchback and a 54 pound lighter sedan version. This is what the new Touring and Grand Touring trims of the Mazda will go through, but this does not necessarily mean better fuel economy. The Touring trim can now make 26 miles per gallon city and 35 mpg highway opposed to the previous 27/37 with the automatic transmission. The Grand Touring is able to make 25/37 city/highway mpg, versus 28/39 with the auto.
