The third generation of the Cadillac CTS-V vehicle is out. The eagerly awaited vehicle is Cadillac’s answer to the European competitors of the same make and represent the US’s answer to what the Europeans have to offer.
So far, it has proven to be a pretty good design of the new 2016 Cadillac CTS-V car and we are expecting it to reach its expected potential.
The first two generations of the CTS-V vehicles were very good, so the third generation just had to do better. According to the developers, a few things were fixed and altered in order to achieve the desired effect. The car will now be more aerodynamic and have better handling that before.
The specs of this vehicle have been already announced, so we won’t be in the dark when comes to the release date, which is set for the North American International Show, when the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V is going to be officially revealed.
2016 Cadillac CTS-V Exterior
What the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V offers in terms of the exterior design opposed to the previous 2014 version is a few polished and trimmed details. The car is mainly going to be shaped to be more aerodynamic and to perform better in terms of handling.
All in all not much has been changed, the shape will be more or less the same but with the few additions which will make the car ultimately better.
What is immediately seen are the larger air intakes which the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V vehicle will include. Another addition is the wide spacing of the quad tailpipes. This immediately led us to believe that a larger engine will be used for this model.
The car is also going to be made out of much lighter materials, which will speed up the car. Mainly aluminum with the combination of other light materials will be the basis of this car. This weight saving will do wonders for the CTS-V but the downside for the fans is the information that this time there will be no wagon or coupe versions available, so we will have to make do with the sedan.
There hasn’t been that much information about the inside of the vehicle for now. We may presume that the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V will be given a technological upgrade to go with its modern look. What will make this car competitive in the market is the addition of the all new entertainment and driving package included on the inside of the car.
Additionally, luxury and comfort will be an issue as well. The car is presumed that it will be the most comfiest one of all when we count the previous two versions into the mix.
Engine of 2016 Cadillac CTS-V
The specs of the engine have been the first ones which were announced for the 2016 Cadillac model. It is presumed that the 6.2-liter supercharged LT4 V-8 is going to come into the mix. The competitors of this vehicle have already given quite a task for the modern sport-sedan vehicle so the CTS-V has to make do in the same apartment to achieve the current standard.
It is presumed that the car will be able to make at least 600 horsepower. This will be bolstered with the use of the new GM’s new eight-speed automatic transmission, which also delivers power to the rear wheels as well. There were talks about a manual transmission, but were quickly dropped out of the mix for this vehicle.
