A piece of information announced by the Koenigsegg Company surprised and excited many people all around the world with 2016 Koenigsegg, both fans and those who aren’t as familiar with the models this company offers. Apparently, the newest addition to Koenigsegg production line is still in the concept phase but according to some spy shots and leaked information from the company we have found some useful information about its specifications.

2016 Koenigsegg New Concept Model – Exterior

Judging by the spy shots we have found, it seems that the intention behind the newest Koenigsegg concept car is to further improve characteristics and traits mostly found in sports cars. Although it resembles the previous models from this manufacturer there are still some individual traits found here. The aggressive and stylish design, with pronounced grille, air flow, attractively designed rear-view mirrors, large five-spoke wheels and the rear side adjusted to make the downforce optimal for both medium and high speeds.

As in most cars of this category and price range, even though there is no official information, you can expect a richly designed interior and cockpit, ergonomically positioned and rich in gadgets. You can also expect some details which Koenigsegg enforces in its models – good overview, leather designs, spaceship look and comfortable enough for varied use, whether in city drive conditions or for cruising the highways. We’re sure that acoustics and sound system will also be top notch.

We have no information yet about the engine and drivetrain options when it comes to this high-end model from the Koenigsegg factory. Judging by some information, it should have slightly weaker characteristics than the previous model Koenigsegg Agera, which means it should have less than 5.0L twin-turbo V8 engine with 960 horsepower and 1100 Nm. Additionally, the company stated that there won’t be any options for hybrid propulsion system.

Release Date and Price

As we still don’t have a confirmed nor speculated release date, we can only expect it to appear at one of the major car shows in 2016, while it’s safe to say that company will publish more details in the meantime. When it comes to the price, the company founder Christian von Koenigsegg stated that 2016 Koenigsegg new concept model will be a base model of this company, which doesn’t mean it will be any less exclusive or cost-effective and that the price might be $500,000 and above.
