The 2017 Dodge Dart is going to get its simplified model and a new release for this year. In fact Dodge actually wanted to revolutionize things a little bit but in fact the news about the Dart being discontented started emerging. Actually the model faced extinction as the company decided to focus on making their crossover vehicles which attracted more attention. They were actually looking for a partners which could help them in continuing building and manufacturing the model. But the decision has for now been made to offer a simplified version of the compact sedan, and the Dart is now going to be available in three trim levels opposed to the five it used to have before.

The modern era Dodge Dart was introduced in 2012, which was actually a revitalization of the brand which has been issued between 1960 and 1976. There were a range of vehicles which were released in two-door and four-door configuration that had the same name then and were highly popular. It became a compact model in 1963 and it was only with the 2012 version that the car became a full-fledged sedan car. It was build on the Fiat Compact platform which was actually called the Compact US Wide, with a purpose to make the fuel economy of the car a lot better.

The newest 2017 Dodge Dart is making another go at the market in an attempt to once more try to improve the selling numbers. This model has never actually been that popular in the US and the latest offer, allotting with lesser models available, does not actually mean a lesser offer in quality. The Dart actually brings a couple of customization offers as it comes with Chrome, Rallye, and Black packages available for you to address the style of your car. This review will help you get a closer look at the latest Dodge Dart and see whether it is still worth keeping for another period.

Exterior

The newest 2017 Dodge Dart is going to carry on with the exterior styling this year, even though some mainstream cars receive a facelift after three or four years of being on the market. We are basically getting the same car that was originally issued in 2012, with a big difference of trim leaves that actually come with various exterior features and specific badges to each other. The SXT, which replaces the SE trim as the base one, comes with bi-function halogen headlamps, body-colored “crosshair” grille and surrounds,  LED corner taillights, chrome headlamps bezels and 16-inch aluminum wheels which is all included in its standard setup.

The top of the range GT Sport trim comes with everything the first two trims have and adds bright tips for the exhaust pipes,  dark-tinted automatic headlamps and fog lamps, and a black fascia with Hyper Black grille. All of the models come in 8 exterior colors that you can choose from, the standard white, silver and black and the  iconic TorRed and Go Mango.

Interior

The same thing actually goes for the inside of the 2017 Dodge Dart as the only difference is what the trim level decides it to be. Thus the base SXT Sport model comes standard with Uconnect Bluetooth hands-free calling,  air conditioning,  SiriusXM satellite radio with one-year free subscription, black Sedoso cloth seats with mesh inserts, electric power steering,  six-way manual adjustable driver and front passenger seat,  front-seat active headrests, driver seat height adjuster, three rear-seat head restraints,  floor console with covered storage, sun visors with vanity mirrors, four speakers, Uconnect AM/FM/CD, remote USB port, satin silver shift knob,   power windows with driver one-touch, and a standard instrument cluster with tachometer.
