The latest car is going to be a revised version of the fifth-gen 2017 Hyundai Azera car. The revised version comes as they are attempting to keep the car fresh for some time more and help it match better with the competition which it has in front of it.
Actually the Azera is known in some markets at the Grandeur model, and was introduced for the first time in 1986. It was introduced as the company’s flagship vehicle at the time and offered some pretty decent specks upon its released even though it was essentially a rebadged Mitsubishi Debonair. With the release of the third-generation model in 1998, the Azera became a stand-alone Hyundai model and was at the time downgraded to a midsize car. The fourth-generation one was released in 2006 and is famous for introducing the Azera brand to the North American market as it was the first time the Hyundai Azera started selling there. The fourth-gen was acutely the flagship vehicle of Hyundai until the Genesis model was offered in 2009.
The year 2012 saw the biggest and revolutionary move that the people form Hyundai pulled for its Azera model which saw the fifth-generation go through a massive overhaul and redesign which as a result came with a whole new car. The added 3.3-liter V-6 which helped it make 293 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque is just a part of the things that car was given.
Now the 2017 model is building up and keeping things fresh for eth 5th-gen car. They are keeping it as a facelift and are keeping the changes made here far from being massive. The more spectacular appearance changes are going to be seen for the next-gen model which release date is still too far away. Check out the review and see what interesting changes the 2017 Hyundai Azera is going to bring.
The newest 2017 Hyundai Azera receives some nips and tucks through its design making it a little bit different compared to the one see before. That being said, we still get a pretty similar model compared to the previous one with the front end of the care getting the most notable changes. There are some new aprons placed to the front which also receive a new set of fog lamps. There are some black inserts added to the sides of the lower grill which is a great complement of the LED lights that have been added. This gives the 2017 Azera a really sporty appearance but the fog lamps inserts are only available of the Limited models of the Azera while the base uses the same one as before and has the standard fog lamps.
The front end also sees a redesign for the new grille. There is a new sporty looking one which adds some new horizontal blades added as well which have been designed to float with the frame. The rear end has only one single change and it is the new rear bumper but also there are some newly designed 18-inch wheels which substitute the old ones. As part of the Premium package there is a load of new equipment that are going to be used which adds some more goodies to the base model.
There are some changes made to the interior of the 2017 Hyundai Azera. The added goodies are what upgrades this model compared to the previous one and is what makes it fresher. The first thing that you notice is a new and revised center stack and also a completely new eight-inch color LCD display whcih you can use for your navigation. The previously seen illuminated door-sill plates on the Limited model are now going to be a standard offer for the car. But everything else is pretty much the same as other updates are concerned the new and better materials that are utilized. The quality materials are utilized for the center stack part and also the seats as it upgrades the interior to a more premium level car.
Many of the safety features that were seen on premium trims and upper levels of the Azera car before are now going to be offered standard, which makes the 2017 Hyundai Azera a very safe and upgraded car. The Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist is part of your standard safety for the car. You also get a hands-free Smart Trunk opener and a brand-new Blue Link system which uses a Vehicle Safeguards Alerts In-Vehicle App. Although not many changes are given on the inside, it is still a great choice compared to the previous one.
The interior and the exterior of the 2017 Hyundai Azera have gone though their fair share of changes, but the engine is going to be the same one. As there was no need to go through lengthy changes under the hood the choice was to keep the 3.3-liter, Lambda II, V-6 engine, which has direct-injection. The car makes 293 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque and is going to combine with a six-speed automatic with Shiftronic manual control. The resulting powertrain makes the 0-60 mph acceleration of 6.2 seconds and an EPA rating which says 19 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway and 23 mpg, a bit better than the competing Toyota Avalon model has to offer.
