The recently showcased 2017 Mitsubishi Montero is getting its final release. The model was first seen at the Bangkok Auto Show which marked the unveiling of the brand and also its first appearance on the market. The car is going to be offered by the end of this year and will appear in its respective markets across the Asian continent as well as Australia and parts of Africa.

The Montero brand has been a popular SUV choices for the given markets that it was stated in. The car has accumulated a lot of popularity ever since it was introduced and managed to receive a lot of acclaim for its looks and usefulness. Looking at the interior of the 2017 Mitsubishi Montero we see how great the car has changed. The sculptured interior has been updated and we have an inside which provides some of the best looking additions that the car was hoping to get. The comfort rates are addressed as well and the car is going to have much more ride comfort compared to before.

The noticeable changes to the dash feature a T-shape dash with a premium silver finish design. The layout of controls on the dashboard is pretty simple to handle and is not distracting at all. Standard features are going to add touchscreen AV system with rear monitor, a  tilt/telescopic multifunction steering wheel and a dual-zone climate control feature. The transmission tunnel is also slimmed down thanks to the electronic parking brake that has been utilized here.

The inside also has a dynamic sport look. The materials are soft and comfortable and the car has also expanded those, which address the comfort rates in a big manner. There are three rows of seating for the SUV and they are elegant and plush and the inside also comes with piano black inserts and stylized silver finishes as well.


Engine Capability and Specs

The 2017 Mitsubishi Montero is actually going for a whole new engine variant. This is going to ensure that the car gets better handling, stability, maneuvering and overall great driving options.  A turbocharged 2.4-liter diesel engine with MIVEC is going to be utilized and will be combined with a 8-speed automatic transmission and 4WD system. Also, the Montero will be the first Mitsubishi car to utilize a  new terrain selection system which will make the driving performance a lot better. All in all, this is going to bring the specs to 415 horsepower and 389 pounds of torque for the Montero and will also enable it to speed up to 0-60 mph in around seven seconds. The overall characteristics have improved and we can say that the Montero is a much better vehcel that it has been before.


Release Date and Price

Concerning the release date of the 2017 Mitsubishi Montero, the vehicle is going to start sales in the first quarter of next year. The car has already been showcased so the release date in the home market is February. The Mitsubishi Montero will then be offered at its respective markets and will go around to other Asian markets as well as Australia and South Africa as well.

The initial price will start at $49, 000 which is the price translated into dollars from yen. The pricing will be similar for all the markets translated into the domestic currency.
