Simplistic design of the 2017 Nissan Quest

There are many car makers doing vans of all kinds to cater to the various needs in the market. Nissan, not to be left out of the game, has also decided to push out an updated version of the van. The 2017 Nissan Quest.

The Japanese car maker stuck pretty much to basics when styling the exterior of the new Quest. The van has an upright and boxy demeanor that alludes of times past in the car maker’s rich catalog.

The interior has pretty much what you would expect from a multipurpose vehicle. The minivan has plenty of space and Nissan has added plenty of electronics to add to the elegance of the interior ambience.

Exterior of the 2017 Nissan Quest

The 2017 Nissan Quest has a polygonal shape that has very little frills, rendering its design to be quite generic.

The front must have taken up most of the time of the minivan’s designers because it has most of the style. The headlights are of an angular shape and fit perfectly into the shape of the front intake grill.

The grill itself draws the eye to it with its slightly curved verticals and the straight top and bottom edges. The Japanese car maker’s badge sits atop the horizontal slats of the grill. A strip of chrome surrounds this entire get-up thereby giving it a classy look.

There are rails atop the roof which lend a sporty look to the minivan. The roof also has a skylight which is sure to add some oomph to those within.

The rest of the minivan pans out as 4 cornered box.

Engine of the 2017 Nissan Quest

Though many people do not purchase minivans for their speed, it does need to move long quite quickly. The new Nissan Quest manages to do this quite well.

The van runs under the power of a capable V6 engine which is linked up to a continously variable transmission. This transmission is controlled via a lever that is found at the central hub, on the same surface as the infotainment system.

This engine, found in all versions of this Japanese made minivan, has the ability to mete out a maximum horsepower amounting to 260 hp. It is also very thrifty in its consumption. It gives a good mileage both in the city and on the highway as we’ll see later.

According to Car Connections, the engine handles pretty well but begins to drone if it is under considerable load. So if the van goes on a comparatively steep incline, you’re likely to hear groaning noises emanating from the engine.

Interior of the new Nissan minivan

Though the 2017 Nissan Quest appears to be roughly the same size as the other players in this segment, it feels smaller on the inside.

Nevertheless, the van appears to have a number of positive attributes on the inside. The cabin is covered in high quality upholstery and one is able to find elegant wood trim and leather in the top end variant.

The Quest is able to comfortably seat 7 people with those in the first and third rows enjoying considerably more head and legroom.
